High School

The door swings open on the bus. The basketball team files in to take their seats. It stinks y’all – the smell of teenage boys. Upperclassmen pick their seats and their bus buddy. He flags down the freshman who has the best hair of anyone on the team, except for him 😏 Some of my favorite moments of Senior year happened with Philip as we traveled to away basketball games. We were typical high school boys.. and one time my health minded self actually forced Philip to eat cottage cheese! Like literally forced him too! If you could only have seen his face!! 😂

Sweet Hearts

And while Philip and I became close during high school, there was a young lady taking wayy more of Philip’s attention! That’s right, Philip and Emily are High School Sweethearts! After high school Emily moved off to The University of Southern Mississippi to dance for the Dixie Darlings and pursue her education to be a Physical Therapist. Even though Philip had always planned to study at MSU, love and a great AT program brought him to Hattiesburg to study alongside Emily! Philip and I roomed together during college and I have so many great memories from this time in life! When I was planning how I was going to propose to Anna, Phil rode to New Orleans with me (that trip 😎). We were like Ninja’s on that trip!

Engaged to Their Best Friend

You won’t have to look long to see how happy and in love Philip and Emily are! Because when you’re going to marry your best friend, what could be better? Some things have changed.. Philip is now working as an AT- impacting and  changing lives while helping athletes excel. And Emily is starting Physical Therapy school at the school she picked! You read that right. Emily was accepted into each and every Physical Therapy school that she applied to and we couldn’t be more proud of these two!! 👏

But one thing has never changed.. The love that these two share! Their hearts are so pure and their love for one another is so special! We witnessed it all throughout their engagement session in Fontainebleau Park, Louisiana!! They have such a burning passion for each other.. and y’all the Spanish Moss at Fontainebleau wasn’t the only thing on fire during their session.  Just look at these two on the beach!! Can we just insert all the heart eye emojis right here? 😍😍

Philip and Emily

We love you two so much and we are SO proud of you! We’ve loved every minute of watching your love story and we’re so excited to photograph your magical wedding day in December! Like literally Magical wedding day since your venue is Pierce Castle! And even though we’ll have cameras in our hands, you already know we’ll be celebrating YOU all day and even on the dance floor too! 🎉

We pray that even on your most stressful days, when work and Physical Therapy school take all of your energy, these images will remind you just how much joy and love you guys share together! Pick each other up, swing each other around, and always remember you have a Refuge in us! 🤗
