As we sat in Ryan’s car in Downtown Hattiesburg, we felt all kinds of emotions. Our hearts, well they were pounding through our chest. Why? Because we sprinted. We ran as fast as we could to escape. We ran not only to escape, but we ran for safety. Okay, that last part may have been a little dramatic.

You’re probably wondering what we were running away from?  RAIN. Lots and lots of rain. The kind that soaks your clothes within seconds of being in it. You know, the kind that regardless if you walk or run – you’re drenched. 

Rain is a Good Thing

What started as such a beautiful, bright, and joyful summer engagement session in Downtown Hattiesburg quickly turned into a dark and wet day! The rain storm literally came out of nowhere, but it was clear that this would be the first session we had to end early as a result of weather.. Ya’ll nobody told us we would basically become professional weathermen as we became professional photographers, but we’re pretty dang good at it! As we sat in the car together we took a #LeonardSandwhich selfie and planned their next session! Oh, and we started praying for the sun! 

And ya’ll.. God SHOWED OUT! Trust us when we say you’re going to want to scroll to see this! To say that Taylor and Jansen’s Downtown Hattiesburg engagement session couldn’t have been any better is an understatement. They had such a gorgeous engagement session but even the prettiest sunset couldn’t touch the beautiful love that we got to witness between these two! 

A Beautiful Love

To know Taylor and Jansen is to love Taylor and Jansen. And it’s so easy to see why. It’s in their eyes, it’s in the way they smile when they look at each other, it’s in the way they giggle and laugh together after Jansen makes a funny face just to see Taylor smile, and it’s in the way Taylor squeals when she sees Jansen smiling for an individual shot. It’s in the way they choose to love and serve others. 

Taylor and Jansen, we loved your engagement session so much! We loved every minute of having you two in front of our cameras and spending our afternoon with you! Our time together made us even more excited for your Dogwood Venue wedding next May! We already know it will be the perfect day for a perfect couple, and an amazing day to celebrate the love you two share! You guys have no idea how hard it was to only choose these photos and we hope you love them as much as we do! 

And more than anything, we hope these photos make each of you feel that you will “have the others memory” for a lifetime.
