Hey friends! We are so excited to share this Oxford engagement session with you today! Sunday we packed our bags, stopped for coffee, and headed to Oxford for Shelby and Jake’s engagement session!

People ask us all the time if we travel for engagement sessions and we always respond with the same answer, YES! We love photographing our couples in places that are special and unique to them and recently we’ve been in Dallas, New Orleans, Mandeville, Birmingham, Tampa, and all over our beautiful home state – including Oxford! And guys, we’ve been looking forward to this session since Shelby reached out to us! The excitement that Shelby has for life is contagious and it’s as if we could feel the joy and passion coming through her words! 

Goals!

Jake is a baseball coach and Shelby is a successful entrepreneur and owner of  Sewthern Belle! Can you say, GOALS? Knowing that shouldn’t surprise you when we tell you that Jake proposed to Shelby on a trip to watch the Yankees play the Red Sox.. But I bet you weren’t expecting to hear that game was in LONDON??!  Ya’ll our couples are literally the best and I think it’s safe to say our guys love our girls so well! 

We had so much fun walking around Oxford with Shelby and Jake, and it shouldn’t take you too long to find out why! Seriously, if you can scroll past the pups without becoming a puddle of emotion, we’re not sure if you have a pulse?! And when one pup is wearing a bow tie.. and the other wearing a wedding veil… Well it’s safe to say our hearts died in Oxford! 

Oxford was absolutely beautiful and gave us so many views that we don’t have in Hattiesburg like Rowan Oak, the home of the famous author William Faulkner. We walked through The Square and found such a cute phone booth on a beautiful city street! Remember how Jake proposed in London?? Well they have an image of them by a phone booth after the proposal and it brought so much joy to our hearts to capture them by this phone booth in the city they love so much!

We literally don’t have the words to describe how much we love you two! It’s so obvious that two were made for each other and there is nothing better to celebrate! Through our lenses we saw love, we watched joy, we saw two people who knew they were right where they are supposed to be. Together. 

We’re convinced that no matter the city you two travel to, it’s beauty wont compare to the beautiful love we saw between you two! We are so honored to capture this beautiful moment in your love story and we know that you two are going to have the most perfect day, simply because you’re marrying your best friend!! Your love is so joyful and we wish you so many years of celebrating life together (with your two adorable doods)! Always remember we’re here to be a Refuge for you😊

We can’t wait to see you guys again soon (because yes, Jake, we know you asked and we’re already planning our trip to hang out with you guys again 😉)!
